About This Office
The Community Legal Information Center (CLIC), established in 1970 as the Public Law Internship Program, is a collection of projects which serve the community by providing free legal information and referrals, presenting seminars, workshops, and informational media to the population of Butte County. California State University, Chico student paralegal interns, who, in addition to providing free legal information, staffs CLIC and provide free legal representation to clients in administrative law forums. CLIC provides legal information, not legal advice. CLIC is funded primarily through Associated Students, Chico and a grant from the City of Chico. To effectively dispense information and ensure greater expertise in a particular area of law, CLIC is divided into various specialized programs. The CLIC staff takes great pride in their organization and the service they provide for the community.
